Stephen Whitcomb

I'm a physics researcher working in theoretical biological physics, focusing on molecular modeling and phase transitions.

About Me

I’m a fourth-year undergraduate at Northeastern University with a deep interest in bridging rigorous mathematics and physical systems. Lately, I’ve been especially focused on studying phase transitions — both in equilibrium and non-equilibrium settings. I recently launched a blog to share course notes I’ve compiled over the years, which complements content from my educational YouTube channel. I’m currently finalizing notes on Statistical Mechanics and plan to explore topics like condensed matter theory, Landau-Ginzburg models, and more in the near future.

Currently mentoring students through Bridge to Calculus and analyzing computational data from simulations of biological phase transitions.
